It is amazing to me the wisdom and insights that one can get from lessons on God geared towards children. As I sing songs to my toddler or now as we are starting to read more books together, there is such truth in simple messages.

Recently my toddler has started picking up a new book at bed time for me to read to her. The book is “God Knows My Name” by Debby Anderson. One of the pages reads “Before God made the world, He knew about me. Before I was born, God knew what would happen every day of my life…”

The other night this page struck me. As there is currently a couple things heavy on my heart and mind in these recent weeks, and when praying with my husband over a particular tragedy that occurred he stated that he took comfort in knowing that God knew about these events well before they ever impacted us.

So as I read this page, which I had read before, the words stuck out to me. So I looked up the bible passages that it was referencing. One of them being Psalm 139: 16 “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

So not only did God know about the events that would occur through my life, He formed them for me. My days are custom made by my Creator. What a beautiful truth.
