Of course, the days are not actually longer, still just 24 total hours, but many projects that I procrastinated about all winter suddenly appear on my summer to-do list and actually get done (cleaning,/organizing, painting, yard work, etc...). The additional light is a powerful motivator.
One repeated project failure, however, is reading all the books which I have already purchased before buying any new ones. It just never gets done, but I keep happily trying. So in the spirit of perseverance and my umpteenth summer attempt to complete "the book project", below is a short list of what I will be reading with the blessing of additonal light and perception of more time. What about you, any "book projects" this summer" ?
-
John Newton, From Disgrace to Amazing Grace by Jonathan Aitken
-
Prayer and the Knowledge of God by Graeme Goldsworthy
-
Pattern of Wounds by J. Mark Bertrand
-
*Almost Amish, One woman's quest for a slower, simpler, more sustainable life by Nancy Sleeth
*borrowed from the library so technically disqualified from the list since I do not actually own it. A qualified substitution will be added.
